Nick Pontarelli is a relative newcomer to the music scene in Chicago. But don’t let that fool you. Nick’s style, love and passion for this music comes through with every note that crosses his lips.
Nick grew up with music in his veins. His dad, Nick, Sr., filled the house with music while playing his organ for hours on end. Nick knew more songs by the time he was seven than most people will learn in their lifetime. At a very young age, Nick was engulfed by the incredible voices and styles of Sinatra, Martin, Bennett, Caruso and many other greats of that era. This was the very beginning of what brought Nick to this point in his career.
Nick always knew deep down that some day he just HAD to express his love and respect for the music and the songs that these great entertainers made. And so it began!!
Nick has been performing in many restaurants and clubs in and around the Chicago area. This last summer he performed at the Taylor Street Italian Fest. He performed at numerous special events and a number of weddings as well.
He has also performed many times for the Chicago White Sox. His latest performance was on “Rat Pack Day”. It was the same day that Mark Buehrle threw his perfect game. Guess you could say there were two perfect performances that day.
It is said that most people live and die with their music either still unplayed or unsung. They never dare to try. Nick dared to try…and we are all better because he did.
If you ever have the chance to come and see Nick, you will see and hear what a real “crooner” sounds like…enjoy the music, enjoy the sound and enjoy the experience that Nick can bring to your senses.
